The ODD Weekend
Thursday, October 30th, 2008 by RadioVisitors to Esperanto House in Barlaston, the headquarters of the Esperanto Association of Britain, might have been surprised last Saturday to find it playing host to an event known as the ODD weekend. The ODD (or Open Democracy Discussion!) group was organised by Derek Tatton as a chance for Esperantists to come together and debate a wide variety of issues in a friendly and informal environment. JEB-anoj Tim and Clare were two of the ten participants, who over the course of two days discussed themes as diverse as the meaning of citizenship and how to appreciate fine wine. (more…)
