A Blast From The Past!
Sunday, June 28th, 2009 by RadioDuring the recent British Esperanto Congress in Salisbury, we celebrated 50 years of Junularo Esperantista Brita with a toast and some rather delicious cakes
In this special birthday year, it feels apt to give some thought to the history of JEB and all those Esperantists who have been involved with it in the past. The only problem can be actually trying to find any information, as the fortunes of JEB appear to undulate from one generation to the next. Well, fear not – help is at hand
Some members will hopefully still remember Saluton, the newsletter which JEB most recently produced in 2006/07 and which has since been superceded by the JEBsite blog. Simon Davies, editor of Saluton from 1991 – 1996 has just created an online archive, featuring past editions of the magazine from 1988 – 1993. The archive also contains a few editions of Ananaso, a publication aimed specifically at children.
