I write a tired man, having driven from Felixstowe to Leicester yesterday, via Birmingham, and then having to get to the office for 06:30.
It was worth the journey, though, because I was returning from JEB’s summer meet-up in Felixstowe, Suffolk.
We had a pretty good turn-out, nine people by my count, including a new person
Saturday was a pretty big travel day for Tim and Clare, and Mikeo in particular, coming all the way from Manchester-ish. Because of the later arrival, the afternoon was spent chatting at one of our friend’s house and going out for a meal, before walking along the beach.
Sunday was a little busier, since we visited Landguard Fort, an installation set up on the wishes of Henry VIII and active in preventing invasion from the Dutch in the seventeenth century, before finally being discommisioned in 1956.
It was a very pleasant weekend in a nice locale, and well worth attending.
