The British Esperanto Congress 2009 took place at Sarum College, Salisbury from 17th to 20th April. Andrew Weir gave a lecture on the Friday evening on the theme of Asterix, whilst Clare Hunter combined the minor roles of Onlooker 1 and Onlooker 3 in the play ‘La sonĝo de la kursgvidanto’ which was presented on the Sunday afternoon.

One of the highlights of the weekend was the celebration to commemorate 50 years since the founding of JEB.
